Haven't posted for awhile, my apologies. Last Thursday Care Bear helped me make a pudding pie for our small group. She loves to watch things in the bowls and being mixed. Of course I let her lick the spoon ;) Here are two pictures from that day, and then two of her getting her toenails painted once again. She gets to pick the color from my amazing selection (many of you know I almost always have my toenails painted- something fun to look at in the shower!) and this time it was "guk boo", or dark blue. So we wound some toilet paper through those tiny piggies to keep them separated and got her all spiffied up. However, it's almost time for the blue to come off now and she's chosen "rah" (red) for next time. I need to do mine too! ;)
I do have a good amount of pictures from Saturday's hiking trip to Starved Rock & another bunch from our playground visit two nights ago. The program I use to edit them is giving me grief today, though, so they won't get posted until later (read: tomorrow or the day after). At least you know there'll be more coming, right!?
Saturday Scott & Kelly will be heading up to Austin in Chicago w/ a bunch from church to do the Austin Labor of Love... last night I made cookies to send up. I've decided I minister much better w/ a cookie sheet than I do w/ a tool belt! So I'm not sure what we girls will be up to, but we'll be around. Have a delightful rest of the week and keep checking back for more pictures!
Not too much going on. We had a wonderful time w/ Grandmama here. Care Bear is parroting more & more words, so she's making us laugh more than ever w/ her chatter. Been playing a lot in the baby pool and have been watching a LOT of Noggin while it's hot during midday. In fact, she's absorbed in Maisy right now so I'm going to take this opportunity to get dressed, hang out the laundry & then round her up so we can go Krogering. Have a lovely day!
Here's the last of my wedding pictures. Mom got here last night (finally, hehe) and has more pictures from aunt Lainie that I'll go through & see what I can post. These are the ones Andrew will kill me for- dancing! =D They're too good to not share, though! Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
Grandmama will be watching Care Bear tonight while Scott & I go to small group- meeting in Ottawa tonight instead of here. She'll miss her buddies, but it'll be so nice to get out of the house together ;) And they will have a wonderful Girls' Night In, I have no doubt. Have a super weekend!
Lisa & Bob among the wedding guests. =D
Father & daughter dance, Megan and Allen

People will want to pay good money for this! Check it out, my brother jamming w/ his beautiful Megan!
Get down ;)
Shake it!

The flowers from our Martha Stewart seed shaker blooming. These grown between the house & the garage where I hang laundry.
Close up of cornflowers and some red & yellow cutie (not sure what that one is)
Close up of orange & yellow flowers
Delighted w/ her new bed, even unfinished in the garage
Grinning about Blue's Clues sheets
Big girl bed! She looks so tiny in it
Sundresses for church (and Orlando Bloom in the background- whoohoo!)
Dada and his girl before church 7/31/05
She had Scott's fork in one hand & spoon in the other... and was flapping her arms like she was flying. Why they were crossed in front of her is beyond us!
For those of you eagerly awaiting news of this milestone, here you go. My Dad had painted my old toddler bed while he was out here last. We finally got time to assemble the darn thing, take out the crib, and get the bed into her room. Here's pictures of her gleeful face when she found it in the garage, and then right after we put it together w/ the sheets on it. Thanks to David for passing down his old Blue's Clues sheets- they're a big hit!
She was so proud, hopping in & out of it. We talked about it the rest of the day. It came time for bedtime and she howled & yelled & sobbed... you'd have thought I was leaving her at a daycare w/ complete strangers for the first time. I had to extricate myself from her grasp (more than once), put her in bed (more than once), and streak for the door before she could get out. She pounded on the door a few times, still sobbing & shrieking. Then we didn't hear anything else. I went into our bedroom & cried (no wonder they call it tough love- w/ pregnant hormones added in there I felt like a monster!) for a little bit myself. An hour later I peeked in on her, fully expecting her to be in front of the door, on the floor, in the corner or something, and was pleasantly surprised to find her on the bed! All stretched out like the most contented thing in the world. =) Whew!
Every nap & night since has been the same... fussing when we leave her, pounding on the door, then giving up & putting herself to bed. Sometimes she even covers herself up. I'm SO glad we did this long before the baby comes... now the crib is all set up in the baby's room and she'll be adjusted. So here's pictures of her all proud- didn't get any of the miserable ones. Should have! Haha!
Oh, and here's some of our flowers for those who were asking (*cough* Lisa) and some pictures of us ready for church this Sunday. Have a super week! I have one more set of wedding pictures to post, but this will be enough for today.
