Let's see if I can do this quick before Care Bear wakes up. Last Tuesday & Wednesday nights we spent at the Farmhouse in St. C w/ Uncle Rob & Aunt Jana. Carrie spent a lot of time running around the downstairs, checking out all the "pretties" (Jana has an excellent eye for decorating), and playing their various musical instruments. They'd just gotten a piano, Rob has a small drum, and there was a guitar propped up in a corner. So every lap she made, something got played. Oh, can't forget the keyboard that also made animal noises w/ special buttons! We think they ought to have Music Camp at the Farmhouse... we'd send her for a week, no problem!
While the boys played poker & smoked cigars & stuff, Jana & I had some girl talk which is SO nice now that I finally have all my sisters ;) Grandma even watched Carrie so we could get out to get groceries. So fun to be free every now and again! Scott and I also got a date! The rest of the family took Carrie to see fireworks on Wednesday night so we went out to eat... got all dressed up and everything. Naturally it poured, but was fine in time for the "booms!" Carrie really likes fireworks! She came back all excited & chattering about the "booms", complete w/ hand motions. Hehe. We watched "The Incredibles" and she refused to go to bed until it was over... wouldn't even let us get her into her jammies until we hit pause & said, "now look. They're all in their jammies. You need to get into yours too!" Then it was okay. Kids!
So here's some random shots of the Care Bear in Bob Evans (what did you expect!? haha!) and around the farmhouse. Lisa, these are only two of the Farmhouse shots... I'll send you more. Just wanted to get you a general idea fast! =) It looks awesome!!!!!

Hi all! We're back from a week in PA and OH. Two weddings and multiple friend visits later, here's the rundown... I'll start w/ last weekend and work forwards:
We left Friday the 8th at around 2:30 in the afternoon. We thought, "we'll try Route 30 and miss all the Chicago traffic on I-80." BAD IDEA. I'd like to stress to anyone who comes to visit us and drives the distance to stay on I-80!!!!! Route 30 took us about 3 hours to go one hour's worth of distance, there were tons of lights, and millions of maniac drivers starting their weekend. It was horrible. It wasn't even rush hour when we left! At least we learned that lesson in NICE weather. Ugh! Never again. We had dinner at Smokey Bones and made it to Toledo around 11:30 EST. We stayed at the Holiday Inn French Quarter, right down the street from our old apartment.
Saturday we got up & had plenty of time to get to Clarion, PA where we set up camp at the Whitling residence. We got the pack n play set up and got ready for Carrie Skarada and Mark Allio's beautiful wedding and got to see TONS of our Clarion friends who'd all traveled to be together for this sweet occasion. I don't know what I was thinking; I didn't take a fraction of the pictures I should have taken. That makes me sad. Here are some to give you a general idea of the fun we had. It was so good to see everyone! We really didn't want to leave Clarion, but it helped a tiny bit to realize that so many other people weren't living there anymore either. *sniff* It WAS a good taste of how wonderful Heaven will be when we're all reunited, though! =)
Sunday morning we went to church in Clarion w/ our sweet Whitlings and then had brunch w/ Julie ("aunt Julio") and all the Orrs including baby David at Eat N Park. There's just not enough time to talk to everyone! =/ Then it was off to Butler to stay w/ my parents for two nights. They'd bought Care Bear a tea set knowing how much fun she has w/ the one at the Streator Library. We had lots of tea last week!
Monday Pa Pa took Carrie for a walk to his church where she charmed everyone she met. When they got back, we took off for the Grove City Outlets for some wedding shopping. Then we had dinner at Rachel's Roadhouse (Sharon says we missed out by not having the chocolate pretzels this time!) w/ Mary Alice and Amy. Always nice to have Girls' Night Out. I mean, The Third Monday Meeting on the Second Monday! ;) Love you guys! Then it was off to camp for a visit where we saw just about everyone we knew, including staff members who we can remember being 7 years old *sob* Haha. Nice to see how well everyone's turned out ;) The campers are in very good hands! Just wish we had more time........
So here are pictures from Saturday through Monday. I'll get to more eventually, but knew that people would be on my case if I didn't do SOMETHING since we're back now. Enjoy! =)
Weeeeeeeee purple for vacation & fun! We leave today for PA and have a pretty full schedule. I probably won't have time to post until we get back & get organized, so expect pictures & commentary the week of the 18th-22nd. We won't get in until late the 17th, I'm guessing. Still not completely packed either, but wanted to leave you all w/ our general schedule & the results of my doctor's appt this morning:
Weight 128.5, BP 104/70, baby's heartbeat 140, fundul height 18 whatever they measure those in, and estimated due date 11/6/05. He seemed pleased and wants to see me in three weeks this time. He blew our curve, Mom! =/
General schedule for vacation is: spending tonight in a hotel somewhere around halfway back East; Skarada/Allio wedding tomorrow & tomorrow night staying at the Whitlings; church in Clarion & then brunch before heading to Butler. Sun & Monday nights in Butler (with a camp visit and GNO included), Tues & Wed nights in St. Clairsville, back to Butler Thursday. Rehearsal dinner Friday night. Andrew & Megan's wedding Saturday, brunch w/ the Jacks on Sunday the 17th before leaving for home. That's it in a nutshell! So have a super, safe, and fun week and we'll see as many of you as we can.
Please pray for safe travels for us, for everyone coming together to be in and watching these weddings, and for our sweet Olsons who also leave today for Alaska! Thanks in advance! =)
Just two pictures and am taking suggestions on how to handle temper tantrums. Last night when I left for Ladies' Night Out, she screamed at the top of her lungs for 35 minutes. Then he put her down, she screamed for 10 more, and was finally quiet for 45 minutes. She skipped her nap yesterday- alternated between screaming, crying, singing, and talking to herself. If she does this when the baby comes, I really am going to kill her. For two days now I've had no nap >=/ Today she yelled for 30 minutes because she dropped her friggin hair tie! When do they understand that they are allowed to scream in the house only if they are bleeding???!!!!! Socks coming off, dropped teething toys, or a missing stuffed animal are NOT good enough reasons to scream as if you were being murdered slowly with a rusty spoon! I'm really hoping it's just top molars moving around, (even though yesterday I rubbed her w/ Orajel and she kept screaming) & that is stops very, very soon. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
Not sure how this one got left behind. The last fair picture. I like it!
For those inquiring minds wondering how big I am now...
