Carrie had a wonderful Christmas! We left Christmas morning for St. Louis to visit Kelly & Becky and their chocolate lab, Hershey. Carrie wasn't too sure about Hershey most of Christmas Day- that's a whole lot of tongue and tail when you're only 2.5 feet high and not used to dogs! By the time we left though, she'd been extending her hand to pet Hershey and was teasing her w/ the usual "whoo woo woof!" that she says for dogs ;)
Becky had a beautiful table set for Christmas dinner for us, her parents, and a newly pregnant couple that they're friends with. We had a blast! Carrie very much enjoyed pointing to the candles and wanted to color more than eat.... eventually we put her to bed and she was SO mad that the adults stayed up while she had to sleep. She let everyone know that she was not pleased. We played a game of Settlers of Catan (I just can't escape that game!!!!!!) and Scott won. There was no wood to be had in the game- took a good 3 hours! Anyway...
We made it through the night (Becky had a horrible coughing spell in the middle of the night and Scott's nose decided to run and then clog and then run again, so neither of them slept well) and went to the Galleria the next morning. We found some suuuuuuuper sales and had a very merry Christmas indeed! She was very good in the mall except for really wanting to run on her own after riding in the stroller so long. Who can blame her? She ate a ton of pizza at lunch too!
We started opening presents when we got back late last night and are still opening them. We now have wooden blocks all over the floor as well as plastic golfing materials, puzzle pieces, books, crayons, and other you-name-its. She is, naturally, in love w/ one of the bigger boxes and has been sitting in it, getting in and out of it, sitting on it, and coloring it. Hehe!
Guess I better go post the pictures before certain regular viewers kick my butt. Happy end of 2004!
