We just got back from 2 weeks in Portland, Oregon with Eric and Wendy and their clan. Their new baby is due in 3 weeks, and they were gracious enough to put We4 up for our stay. We got there Friday evening on May 15th, I think. We went to church Sunday and surprised everyone there and Jeff & Angela promptly had us over for dinner. Monday we went to the coast. Tuesday we played in the sandbox at the house. Liam's quotes went something like this as he buried his feet in the sand: lookit mine feet go. The translation is "where did my feet go?" This was followed by "lookit mine bum go" as he sat and squished himself down into the sand. Silly boy. That Thursday we went back to Don & Judy's house for dinner and I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures at either of those dinner parties. Sorry guys! =( Friday Wendy and I went to Sweet Tomotoes to eat girl food in peace while the guys watched the kids. Then it was the guys' turn to play poker that night. Saturday was the farmers' market and Out of This World playplace in the morning and afternoon, then a picnic with Christie that evening. Sunday was church again and then Wendy & I had another girl date at Yvette's house with her mom, her daughter and her son. And food and movies. Hehe. Monday we took the kids to IKEA (our first time and yes, we're hooked), then sweet Yvette and Tricia and Tom came to watch the kids so Eric, Wendy, Dada, and I could ALL go out as adults to the Claim Jumper where we had good dinners and humungous desserts. Connie came over to visit on Tuesday during the afternoon. Thursday Yvette joined all of us for lunch during her lunch break. Friday Jessica stopped by to visit and we got to see her boys for a quick minute between baths and packing. Saturday morning we left for a day of flying back home. Thank you, all, for an incredible vacation out west, but most of all to Eric and Wendy. We only wish we could be there for the baby, too! We love you all!
