We decided to visit Erie Orchards on Labor Day. This coming weekend is their first apple festival of the season, so they'll be packed. It was terrific being there Monday, because there were hardly any people there! We had most of the apples to ourselves and still got cider and donuts. It is one of our very favorite autumn traditions around here. We came home with donuts, 2 gallons of cider, and two bags bursting with apples. We've already dehydrated a batch of them into apple chips. Yay, apples!
Someone decided all the apple picking was making him terribly hungry, and he just couldn't resist helping himself. They are better outside of the wrapper, buddy...
