=)

Happy birthday to Davy Jones and aunt Julio! =) Hope you two are having superdidooper days! We love you oodles!

Continued prayers for healing for Manoj's mom, please. And thanks for praying for Rita's mom too. The surgery went well and nothing had spread to her lymph nodes. Yay, God!

I have more pictures to post, but forgot to bring the camera down. We've just been up to the usual: preschool, KidZone at the Y, women's Bible study this morning, pestering Matt & Christine next door as they did their yard work, baths, books, etc. An added bonus has been that Dada's been home all this week. Yay! =D We could get spoiled like this!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Jamming and haircuts

Happy birthday to Rah Rah today! Hope you're having a great one =)

Grandmama found an identical Elmo guitar, so now we have two music artists in the house. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Thanks ever so much for doubling a noisy toy ;) *sigh* Hehe!

And Liam had his second haircut this weekend. We did Dada's first and wouldn't you know, they ignored the whole thing. They had chairs pulled up to watch and then I handed them library books and there was no peep from the peanut gallery the entire time. Then we did Liam's w/ the clippers and he wasn't very pleased. It turned out much more even than I could have hoped and while Dada says he looks bald, my sweet Rita says he looks all ready for summer! It makes his eyes really pop, that's for sure.

Enjoy, and have a wonderful week!

Stats for 4, and other stuff

Well, she made it to four years old. I know there was some debate about if that would happen or not, but she did, and she had a good birthday. We went to Baskin Robbins that night w/ our usual suspects (Lee, Rita, Nina) and devoured birthday ice cream. She opened some presents and got a million phone calls. ;) She received a teddy bear, new Cinderella jammies and slippers, colored pencils, tank tops, capris, some videos, some play doh and the "factory" to go with it, and some money. She still has a present or two put away in the closet, now that I think about it...

Some of the latest Carrieisms are:

She was playing w/ our blue and red shape ball that has the yellow shapes you push into the matching slots. She approached me and asked very seriously, "is this the octogon or is it the pestigon?" I managed to keep a straight face and told her it was a hexagon or a pentagon ( I forget which now), and then we talked about octogons having 8 sides just like an octopus has 8 legs because "octo" means 8. She nodded solemnly and informed me, "they're the same. They both start with 8's." Yes. Ahem. Of course they do.

She was asking about our friend Mike while we were driving somewhere. She wanted to know if "Mike and his appetizer" were coming over soon. Dada and I looked at each other and thought, "how does she even know the word appetizer?" Here I figured out she meant MIke and his harmonica, which she used to call a monitor. One day she'll get it right!

Oh, and stats. They had their 18 month and 4 year appointments w/ Dr. Jon on Wednesday while my mom was here. Care Bear is 29 pounds (still our resident featherweight) and is 38.5 inches tall. She got two shots (MMR & chicken pox) and doesn't need to go back until she's 5. Liam weighed in at 23 pounds and is 33 inches tall. He also got two shots (DPT and Hib) and needs to go back in 6 months for his *gulp* 2 year appointment! Dr. Jon said everything looked wonderful, and then he checked his ears. Ugh. Ear infection =( Well, they are BOTH coughing but chests are clear... Dr. Jon declared it the stubborn spring cold that everyone here has. It went into poor Lamb's ears so he's on antibiotics again. Now his cough sounds a whole lot better and hers sounds worse. Kids! I almost forgot.. she was big enough to get her blood pressure taken. Then she informed the nurse that "you forgot to do Lamb's!" Little miss boss. Grandmama brought a child's doctor kit with her (great timing!) and of course she had to take it TO the office... she even checked Dr. Jon's heart. Of all the visits to have forgotten the camera... anyway...

So that's the latest here. Dada and I even got to go on a date yesterday after getting the ball rolling on Will/Trust stuff with our new lawyer. Consider this everyone's reminder to either go start one or go update one. There. Public service announcement time is over. On to the pictures! Have a great weekend!

Such a monkey. He flipped this basket over himself. Then he climbed up and sat on it himself too. He's quite the climber! And he loves books, just like his sister. I find him reading in strange places all the time. =)

Almost 4

For those of you keeping score, Care Bear is almost 4. So we bought her a bike. It's a Dirt Dawg, which tickles me to no end. That's the one she wanted, and man, she is fast on that thing. Now we just have to find a helmet for Liam and we'll be all set for family bike rides. Hehe! I'm sure you'll like the pictures of the almost- birthday girl.

And there's some of just everyday stuff around here. Caught the kids in their usual poses and figured all y'all would like to see them. Will take more this week, it being the birthday week and all. She's informed me that she wants cookies instead of a cake this year. No problem there. She wants "chocolate chip ones... and I wanna taste the chips before they're cooked." Yes, ma'am. She certainly knows her own mind, that one. ;) Like aunt Lisa says, "she dances to a different drummer." My reply is, "yeah, to bongos. In a drum and fife corps..."

Don't forget all the outstanding moms in your life- next weekend is Mother's Day! Since I am a mom, and I'll probably forget next weekend to say it, I want to celebrate all the beautiful Girlfriend moms who bless my life. You know who you are. Thank you, thank you for restoring my sanity. Glad we can all be there together, surviving our kids' childhoods. I mean, glad we can all be there for each other. I mean... hahahhaa. You know what I mean ;) *whistles innocently* And Mommee, you rock too ;) Thanks for being you. Can't wait to see you next week!

Have a good one. Hoping the wind slows down some so we don't get blown to Yakima! =D

Give him a chair...

Yeah, I don't know what he's up to either.
