The kids across the street are making an igloo. It's taller than some of them. Nobody in the area has school because we're getting tons of snow. They're calling for 5-7 inches by tonight, but I bet we already have at least 4 and it doesn't look like stopping anytime soon.
So we did what any other Northern kid with any self respect would do. We went outside!
After getting ourselves marshmallow-ready, (Amber, wanna send your kids up here for a week? Hehe!), we headed out to play while Liam napped. Hey, you snooze, you lose, kid. Sorry. I shoveled a little bit more just to stay warm than to pray of staying ahead of it. Carrie practiced stomping around in her new winter boots and learned to navigate in her snowsuit. Then I realized it was more important to play w/ her so we made a snowman, the first of the winter. He's pretty cute. She waited until we got inside to declare that he needed a hat. So next time we go out, we'll have to cover his head. Can't have him losing all his body heat! ;)
We easily could make one bigger than her. If it keeps up, expect an army of them, Calvin-style! Here's some shots of her enjoying "the white shroud"... which is baloney, cuz a shroud would be light, I imagine, and when you're shoveling snow, it is anything but. Hehe!
Enjoy! Stay warm! =)
