Happy birthday, USA!
We've been busy. Saturday we ran our Ottawa errands (dry cleaners, Wal-Mart, Value City- looking for a 4 drawer dresser for the nursery, lunch at Wendy's) before having some friends over for a picnic and fireworks. Streator has "the best fireworks in the county" and we weren't disappointed. Someone small kicked me while someone slightly bigger oooohed and hunched down by our friend Dave and exclaimed, "Mama! Mama! Blue!" She was excellent and it was WAY past her bedtime. Even better than last year when we girls were w/ Aunt Julio, whom we miss terribly!
Yesterday we went to church and out to eat for lunch w/ our church buddies. We ate outside at the Row House Cafe, (newly opened again)! Then we headed to the river here in Streator for the Rubber Duckie Launch because we figured she'd just love that. Sadly, there's not enough water for the duckies to have their floatdown =( So we bought an "Adoption Certificate" anyway & they'll let any winners know if their numbers got picked. Such a shame. Would have loved to have gotten pictures of her cheering on the duckies! Just as well though. It was really hot. She was pretty flushed, so we came home, had popsicles & took naps.
Just taking it easy today since Dada is home. It's pretty hot again and 60% chance of storms later but it sure doesn't look like it'll do anything anytime soon! Have a safe, wonderful Fourth and enjoy the pictures. Right now she's figuring out the water spray bottle and is squirting herself in the face w/ it. Haha!
