Palm Sunday post

Hi all =)

Happy Palm Sunday. Miss Care Bear wore her jean jacket over her denim jumper to church today. She doesn't want to go anywhere without that jacket. Thanks, Grandma Barb!

She's had some funny quotes lately and I've tried to scribble them down in various spots so I could post them. Yesterday we were running errands and we ended up having this conversation:

Carrie: Where we goin' now?
Mama: Out to eat.
Carrie: Oh. *Pause, then agreeably* That's a good idea.

She has a deck of cards that has Pooh and friends on them. We were working on pattern recognition and I was laying one out for her:
Mama: The back of the card, the front of the card, the back of the card, and the..."
Carrie: Pooh!
Mama: Yes.... *sigh* ;)

On breakfast options:
Carrie: I want Honeycomb.
Mama: We don't have any. Maybe you should choose something we already have.
Carrie, very matter-of-fact: Maybe you should get more Honeycomb at the store.
Mama thinks: Yes, your Highness...

And we can't forget this one; Carrie is trying to take off her T-shirt before bath time. I show her how to cross her arms in front of her, hold the hem, and pull up. She gets it stuck up over her head, arms still in sleeves and head still in neck hole.
Mama: *trying not to laugh* Now try it in a different place.
Carrie walks a few steps further away, still yanking on the T-shirt.
Mama: I meant a different place on your shirt! *laughing*
Carrie runs around the room, spinning in circles, shirt still over her face, until she falls on the floor laughing. Then repeats exercise until bath time.

Ahhh, kids.

Liam, our little love, is ever the mellow sweetie. He tried rice cereal for the first time Friday and was not at all pleased. He kept squinching up his face as if to say, "you can't fool me. I KNOW this is not what you guys eat! Now get it right!" We'll keep practicing...

The nursery ladies at church just love him, and always look hopeful about getting to feed him. Dada thinks they want to just watch him put it away. Hehe! Last week they told him, "you'd never even know he was here unless you were holding him!" (So see, Sharon, we're not the only ones who forget he's around! Hehehe ;)

Triskal had her first obedience class Saturday morning. She was really, really excited. I think it's going to be a wonderful experience for the both of us. She gets to see other dogs, I get away from the house. Everyone wins! We even took everyone to Mr. Freeze last night around 8 PM so Triskal could have a fun car ride not associated with the vet's office. Of course tons of people loved on her and she was better behaved than we could have hoped. Yay for socialization ;)

That's the rundown on things here. Grandmama comes out the end of this week- yippie!! Looking forward to seeing her see Liam and how huge he is. He's getting to be one heavy little bugger. Wendy, I can understand much better now! ;D Love you all and have a blessed Easter!
