Grandma Kurth got here today at lunchtime and we've been having a ball! Carrie showed her all her blocks, crayons, golf clubs, balls, dance moves, and boxes today- including turning her latest box into a rowboat (using golf clubs as oars) and making us sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" while she accompanied w/ exuberant "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhh!"s. Hehe!
Another of today's highlights was the stepstool made just for her by Pap Kurth. He thoughtfully included the cast of "Blue's Clues" as decorations- see pictures. She was thrilled and can now throw her rubby ducky and toothbrush into the sink. She also can just reach the stopper; we're having a hard time convincing her that it stays there! She's excited that she can "spit" in the sink now too, which includes making the noise and not having anything else happen. Better that than the other way around, I suppose!
She mooched off of all our grilled cheese sandwiches at dinner, so don't be surprised if later pictures show she's turned INTO a grilled cheese sandwich ;) She didn't even peep when I put her down tonight, which is very rare for her. Maybe we succeeded in wearing her out! Time for bed for me too! Sleep tight!
